Bluesman of Mexican descent born in Chicago - this is unusual! Tino began his solo career in 1985, weaving in his music all sorts of styles, in which he grew up: blues, Latin, soul, jazz and funk. The uniqueness of the musician not only in its filigree techniques, but primarily in the ability to freely combine various musical styles (and often within the same song), creating as a result of organic musical canvas, sounding like a breath of fresh air.
At a certain point in life's journey Gonzales tired of touring around the same Club of America and Canada, and moved to Europe. Playing in different countries of the Old World has added local flavor into his musical palette, extending it by Gypsy, Arab and African melodies. As a result, the range of music Tino became richer, forming a kind of blues world-fusion.
Tino on this album is revealed in all its glory, trying to convey his music all variety of modern blues styles. With the exception of one track, all material written by the musician. Among the invited guests - Jimmy Thacker, Popa Chubby and David Maxwell. Although the singer Tino Tino markedly inferior guitarist and composer, the resulting music undoubtedly deserves the attention of all lovers of contemporary blues: drive sounds fresh and original, and the execution of technically and professionally. I recommend to all fans of modern blues that go beyond the traditional canons of the genre: Gonzalez is one of those performers who do create original contemporary music.
