InnovMetric Software Inc., a leading provider of universal 3D metrology software solutions, has announced the launch of PolyWorks 2017 IR11, the latest release of the company's universal 3D metrology software platform.

PolyWorks|Inspector

- The technology used to import CAD models in native CAD file formats has been improved. Computer resources are now put to better use. Among other things, the process is now multi-threaded when possible, allowing users to benefit from all the available CPUs. As a result, importing native CAD files is much faster: the larger the model, the greater the gain.
- SolidWorks 2018 CAD models can now be imported.
- Fixed issues:
. Issues have been fixed when exporting formatted reports to the PDF format, when they contain tables that are on multiple pages.
. Color map point annotations could not be picked on CAD models if the selectable faces were set to Front only.
. A unit scaling issue with the CNC probing clearance distance has been fixed.
. The measurement path between the custom measurement points of cone features has been improved.
. A software crash when purging deleted data elements has been fixed.
