Description:
Aegisub is an open source, cross-platform subtitle editor. Popular among fansubbers. Has advanced capabilities for creating karaoke. Includes spell checker and translation editor. Supports SRT, ASS, SSA, SUB, XSS, PSB and formatted TXT as subtitles. For timing, you can load audio files into it in WAV, MP3, OGG Vorbis, FLAC, MP4, AC3, AAC and MKA formats, video files in AVI, AVS, D2V, MKV, OGM, MP4, MPEG, MPG and VOB formats. Has the ability to work with anamorphic video.
Program features:
• Supports the following encodings: Unicode, UTF-7, UTF-8, UTF-16LE and UTF-16BE.
• Supports import from more than 30 non-Unicode formats, including Shift_JIS, which will allow you to work with any subtitles, regardless of your system settings.
• Supports downloading subtitles in Substation Alpha (.ass), Substation Alpha (.ssa), Subrip (.srt) and rich text (.txt) formats.
• Full conversion from SRT to ASS.
• Several levels of the Cancel function.
• The Powerful Automation module will allow you to create karaoke subtitles using Lua scripts that include a syllable effect, similar to AssCalc.
• Syntax highlighting.
• A set of fonts for your projects is saved in the script folder.
• DirectShow support for viewing your video with subtitles via AviSynth using VSFilter.
• Supports the use of anamorphic video.
• Variable Frame Rate of video materials for time encoding (v1 and v2), including the export process.
