Smoke-N-Mirrors was formed in the summer of 2011 as a side project from members of other bands. There was a strong chemistry between Johnny and Bullit that survived early membership changes. The group initially organized as a 5 piece but reduced down to a 3 piece. The remaining members continued after securing their own rehearsal space and sound equipment. Bullit and Johnny shared lead vocals and backed each other as they rapidly restored their song sets. Later, David Dowd joined as the bass guitarist, and more recently, Andy Hinz on organ and piano. Since then, the band has added songs from a wide diversity of classic rock covers, and is gaining a reputation for one of the fullest sounding classic rock bands in Dallas/Ft Worth area.
"As a band, our aim is to share the energy and passion of the music we play. We are inspired and entertained by the artists whose music we perform, and we enjoy sharing it with our audiences. Rock music is all about feeling good and expressing emotion. It is an art-form that has endured for decades because it comes from the heart. We sing about the good times and the bad times.
