This is the first big author's work, written in 1834, which at once became the classics of Russian literature. Pushkin praised the fairy tale in verse by Yershov and told him: "Now I can leave this type of works". The main heroes - are the peasants' son Ivanushka - the Fool and the magic Little Humpbacked Horse. The peculiar verse, folk humor and the appropriate pictures from the life promoted the success of it.
