Description
By studying the core titles of the International Relations course, students will be able to critically, systematically, and multidisciplinarily understand the main dynamics that govern the contemporary international landscape. From the fundamentals of economics to classical and critical theories of International Relations, including modern and contemporary history, politics, law, geopolitics, and foreign trade, the content provides comprehensive training for excellence in the public, private, and third sectors, both nationally and internationally.Students will be able to analyze global economic forces, interpret exchange rate policies, understand trade regimes, identify tariff barriers, and develop strategies for Brazil's competitive insertion in global value chains. At the same time, they will develop a critical understanding of the role of the state, sovereignty, non-state actors, and international organizations in building the world order. They will be introduced to concepts such as balance of power, soft power, international cooperation, diplomacy, and global governance, in addition to an in-depth study of phenomena such as nationalism, populism, globalization, geopolitical conflicts, and regional integration.They will also master practical tools such as statistical analysis, research methods, negotiation techniques, and international project development. The course also provides a solid foundation in history, law, and politics. Upon completion, students will be prepared to think strategically, act with ethical responsibility, and propose innovative solutions to the major global challenges of the 21st century.
