Description
This course is the first course in The Exercise Knowledge Program. The course was created by Dan Watt FN FT WM, Level 2 ACE certified since 1998, and Taylor Norris, RMT with over seventeen years of experience. It is designed for Personal Fitness Trainers and Individuals who want practical knowledge on introducing or starting exercise routines. The goal of this course is to demonstrate and explain the foundations of exercise: proper posture, body mechanics, and breathing. The course includes videos and images demonstrating the proper way to start and complete numerous exercises. The course goes over shoulder, back, chest, biceps, squatting, and lunging. It also demonstrates a thorough description of how to perform a 90-degree squat turn. The proper foot work for throwing, swinging, and punching is explained in great detail. It also includes examples of improper exercise techniques to avoid, such as locking out joints. It goes over postural correction such as how to correct leaning to one side when squatting. There are also demonstrations of different and optimal ways to breathe when exercising and stretching. This includes a demonstration and explanation of chest and stomach breathing. The course also goes over visual spotting and how to help a client or workout buddy contract muscles correctly.. A must for personal trainers and any with a workout buddy. After completing the course you will know how to perform exercises properly and how to visibly spot a workout buddy or client.
