Description
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
※This is the first part of Level 1. It explains the Chinotore concept and the methods for Pita Blocks from one frame one block to three frames three blocks.
Level 1
This is Level 1 of the Chinotore program.
This course provides a fundamental understanding of the core concepts of Chinotore and the importance of early intervention in child development.
It is very important to provide the right support at the right timing during development. Many children with developmental needs may not understand how to play with toys. They may repeat simple actions such as throwing or dropping objects. Some children may have difficulty understanding instructions or may not show interest in learning or remembering. They may also lack curiosity and move around without a clear purpose.
In Level 1, children develop essential foundational skills. These include matching skills, inhibitory control, understanding of correct and incorrect, error correction ability, and improved hand-eye coordination. They also begin to develop the ability to make independent judgments.
For participants, this course helps build an understanding of the reasons behind these difficulties and how developmental challenges affect children's behavior and learning.
What is Chinotore
Chinotore is an early intervention educational program for children with intellectual disabilities. It is currently being developed by Bamboo Wow in collaboration with Tomoko Makita from the Child Development Research Institute.
Children with developmental challenges often experience difficulties in sensory development, including vision, hearing, and touch. They may also have challenges in body awareness and motor skills. As a result, they may not reach for toys spontaneously or may not be able to use them effectively.
These behaviors are considered to be related to delays in sensory development. When children cannot engage with interest on their own, the natural pathway for development may not occur, which can lead to greater challenges over time.
Chinotore supports children by building these foundational abilities through early and structured intervention, promoting cognitive development.
Instructor Profile
Tomoko Makita is the Executive Trainer of Chinotore and the director of the Child Development Research Institute.
After the birth of her son in 1997, she began to notice developmental concerns at around the age of two. In 2000, she studied child development in the United States. In the same year, her son was diagnosed with autism and intellectual disability.
From 2005, she began studying cognition and applying these methods in practice. Through her experience, she developed her own approach to sensory and cognitive development in children with developmental disabilities.
In 2008, she became an instructor of the Interactive Metronome training program and began working with children with autism and Asperger's syndrome.
In 2013, she established the Child Development Research Institute in Hyogo, Japan. She provides original cognitive education for children whose needs are not fully addressed by existing materials.
In 2019, she began developing Chinotore together with Bamboo Wow, focusing on children with severe developmental challenges.
About Bamboo Wow
Bamboo Wow was founded in 2016 in Tokyo. The company operates multiple centers in Tokyo and Saitama, providing early childhood development support and after-school services.
The founder, Keiko Yahagi, started the company based on her own experience as a parent of a child with Down syndrome, aiming to support other families facing similar challenges.
