Itamar - a young yeshiva student from Bnei Brak, working for a charismatic and renowned doctor - discovers that a groundbreaking treatment for diabetes, based on the medical writings of Maimonides, had once been developed in a secret partnership with his ailing father. When he realizes the doctor intends to reap enormous profits from the formula, Itamar steals it in order to sell it to a pharmaceutical company, but is violently robbed on his way to the deal.
