Description
Splunk is one of the most important tools for aspiring SOC and Cybersecurity Analysts, but knowing the name of the platform is not enough. Hiring managers want to know whether you understandhow Splunk is actually used to investigate security events, analyze logs, and support incident response.

This course is designed to help you build that practical knowledge so you can speak about Splunk with confidence during cybersecurity interviews and answer Splunk-related questions correctly when speaking with recruiters and hiring managers.

What You Will Learn

✨ Understand howSplunk is used inside a Security Operations Center.

✨ Analyze security data fromWindows, AWS, Microsoft Entra ID, Cisco firewalls, networks, and email systems.

✨ Identify important Splunkfields, events, and data sources during a cybersecurity investigation.

✨ Use essential Splunk commands includingTOP, TABLE, DEDUP, SORT, STATS, RARE, RENAME, AND, and NOT.

✨ Investigate web activity usingHTTP status codes and Splunk search queries.

✨ Build and understandSplunk security dashboards used to organize and visualize security activity.

✨ Work throughreal-world Splunk queries that reflect the types of searches a Cybersecurity Analyst may perform.

Build Skills You Can Talk About in the Interview

One of the biggest problems aspiring analysts face is learning cybersecurity tools but struggling to explain how they would actually use them on the job.

This course helps you move beyond definitions.

Instead of only knowing that Splunk is a SIEM, you will understand how an analyst can use Splunk to search Windows events, review cloud activity, investigate authentication logs, analyze firewall traffic, examine network data, and identify unusual behavior.

That gives you stronger examples to use when a hiring manager asks

How would you investigate an alert in Splunk?

What Splunk commands have you used?

What types of logs can Splunk analyze?

How would you search for suspicious activity?

How have you used dashboards during an investigation?
Prepare for SOC and Cybersecurity Analyst Opportunities

Without practical Splunk knowledge, it can be difficult to answer technical interview questions beyond basic definitions.

This course is designed to help you understandwhat to search, what the data means, and how Splunk supports a cybersecurity investigation so you can give stronger answers during the interview process.

The goal is to help you walk into your nextSOC Analyst or Cybersecurity Analyst interview with practical Splunk knowledge you can explain clearly, answer technical questions with greater confidence, and show the hiring manager that you understand how Splunk is used in a real security environment.
