Title: Pauline Julien: Femme pays (2026)
Genres: Drama, History, Music
Description: -A woman loses her voice, mirroring a country that loses its voice along with her. Pauline Julien, a flamboyant singer and true poetic and political icon, left a lasting impression on us. We follow her through her triumphs on stage, her stance on the emancipation of Quebec, moments of absolute intimacy with her children, and above all, her passionate love story with Gérald Godin. The film captures her at the moment she learns she has been diagnosed with degenerative aphasia, which will rob her of her speech. We retrace the thread of a life made up of light, work, love, and heartbreak. Pauline dances, Pauline loves, Pauline shouts, Pauline fucks, Pauline burns. Pauline lives. Pauline dies. What do we have left of her?
