This is red hot rockin blues from Shakedown Tim & His Rhythm Revue, produced by Nico Duportal! No, this is not a French blues band! Tim is the former guitar player of Fried Bourbon from Belgium. His new band delivers the blues as if they hand-carried it from the Mississippi delta to Chicago. It's a combination of down home blues and uptown swing! You'll find some inspirations from the rough Memphis blues and a relaxed and tight Caribbean Calypso thing. About the lyrics; Tim has a great sense of humor, even when he's talkin' about the serious things of contemporary issues and troubles in the modern way of life! What about the guitar? Shakedown Tim uses a vintage fat body guitar and his play is a mix of early 1950's style (Earl Hooker, Pat Hare) and influences from contemporary guitar slingers (Junior Watson, Rick Holmstrom).
