You'll find out about the benefits of mindfulness including increased focus and productivity. We'll also cover things that can get in the way of mindfulness including rumination which research shows is a major stressor.We'll cover what mindfulness is and how to fit it into your daily life. This approach to mindfulness does not take a long time to implement. You'll learn and practice a simple mindful technique that takes only 2 minutes.We'll also talk about your brain and cover some reasons why your mind adds to your stress and what you can do about it. You'll get a chance to do a short practice that will emphasize the power of thoughts.You'll also get additional stress reduction ideas that have worked for others so you can consider new ways to address stress.The information in this session is based on several books including Search Inside Yourself by Chad-Meng Tan.Think of this as a tool in your toolbelt that can quickly help you to reduce stress.
